OUR PROGRAMS

Sea turtle conservation

Having spent the past few years assessing our sea turtle populations and concluding that hawksbill and green are the species most commonly found in our region, we have also identified nesting beaches.  We will soon begin to monitor these beaches in the hopes that a sea turtle can successfully lay her eggs, and we can watch the first hatchlings in over a decade in our region of Haiti, crawl to the sea!  As we successfully rescue many sea turtles on a monthly basis, we are planning to develop Haiti’s first sea turtle and rehabilitation facility, so we can properly treat injured sea turtles.
